Shady Rays needs a valid, up-to-date prescription which is fully visible to craft your lenses. This includes all information, such as the end date, exam date, and/or doctor's signature (when applicable.) Any orders with an expired prescription or are not fully visible will be cancelled within seven days without a new prescription.

Product Information
Exactly the same as the X Series Rx - Black wrap-around frame, except with black printed logos on each temple instead of our classic white. Complete with prescription lenses custom-made for you in our US-based optical lab. Includes signature hard case.
This frame can only support prescriptions between +/-3.25. If you are unsure if your Rx meets these standards, email optical@shadyrays.com and we'll let you know if we can make this frame work for you.
- Estimated crafting times for Eyeglass orders: 8-12 business days.
- Prescription Eyewear Replacement Program: Prescription orders are eligible for (1) broken replacement within a year of date purchased. Just pay a processing fee of $49.89 for VIP members or $54.89 for non-VIP. Valid prescription required. See full policy below for new and previous prescription orders.
- Returns & Exchanges: Prescription orders may be returned by contacting the optical team within 30 days of purchase for a refund or (1) remake if unsatisfied. You may email our team using the form here.
- Personal Care: A Shady Rays optical team member personally reviews every order to ensure that it will be made perfect for you. If anything needs addressing, we will reach out to you directly. We cannot fill any orders with an expired prescription so please make sure to check the expiration date before uploading your photo.

BROKEN REPLACEMENTS INCLUDED
If you break your Shady Rays Prescription Eyewear within two years of purchase, we will send you a brand new pair – no matter what happened. Simply submit your replacement request and pay the applicable processing fee to claim your new pair (max 1 lens replacement and 2 frame replacements per item purchased within the first 24 months of purchase).
Limited Craftsmanship Warranty
Your prescription frame (lenses excluded) is covered under our Limited Craftsmanship Warranty within two years from purchase. If you experience an issue with manufacturing or craftsmanship, we will provide you with a new frame at no cost to you.
One-Year Scratch Protection
Shady Rays will provide one replacement for scratched lenses on certain prescription eyewear purchased from ShadyRays.com, without charge, within one-year after purchase.

"I recently purchased my second pair of Shady Rays sunglasses. They are the X Series RX-Icognito Black. This time I got the Amber lenses and they are polarized. Wore them for the first time last weekend while out on the water in my rowing shell. They worked awesome. Fit was secure. Highly recommend these to other outdoor enthusiasts."

"The X Series by Shady Rays is by far my favorite frame just based on appearance. I have a couple of pairs of Series X non-Rx sunglasses, and when it became apparent that it would be best to move to Rx sunglasses, especially for driving, I was ecstatic that I was able to purchase the same frame and same lens combo as an Rx. "Great glasses from an awesome company! This is my third pair in this design. I have a regular pair for when I wear contacts and I am on my second pair with prescription. These are reasonably priced, look great, and their warranty is hard to beat. I have not had a pair of these break but I have had others from shady rays break and they have been super easy to get replaced for a very reasonable shipping and processing fee."
