Replacement Program
How Does the Replacement Program Work?
If your sunglasses, snow goggles, snow goggle lenses, blue light glasses, sunglass readers, Green Wolf sunglasses, or React frames or lenses become damaged for any reason at all within two years of purchase,* you may request a new pair by submitting a request via Shady Rays’ Lost or Broken Replacement Program website: protect.shadyrays.com. If you lose your sunglasses (excluding React and Green Wolf products) or blue light glasses, you may also submit a request for replacement using this same process. (Note: React and Green Wolf products and snow goggles are covered by broken-only protection.)
Proof of purchase may be required to make a Replacement Request. You may also be required to provide photographs of the damage to your item.
A processing fee is required for all replacements. These processing fees are subject to change at Shady Rays’ discretion. The current processing fees at the time you submit your item for replacement will apply regardless of the date you purchased your item. The schedule below contains the current processing fee that applies for each lost or broken replacement. The specific processing fee you are charged is based on:
- Whether you are a Shady Rays VIP. You can learn more about the VIP program, and lookup whether you are a VIP, at the following website: https://shadyrays.com/pages/vip-landing
- The country shipping address for the replacement item.
- The product type. Premium processing fees apply for all Green Wolf and Colorush products.
What Items Does the Program Cover?
The Shady Rays Lost or Broken Replacement Program covers replacement for damaged sunglasses, sunglass readers, snow goggles, snow goggle lenses, blue light glasses, React frames and lenses, and Green Wolf sunglasses purchased from ShadyRays.com, Shady Rays official Amazon listings, or other Shady Rays authorized retailers or partners for two years after purchase.* This Program also covers lost sunglasses (excluding React and Green Wolf products) and blue light glasses for two years after purchase.*
What Items Are Not Covered by the Program?
This Program does not cover lost Final Sale or Outlet eyewear, lost or broken prescription eyewear (see Prescription Policies for Prescription related coverage), lost snow goggles, lost snow goggle lenses, lost Green Wolf sunglasses, or lost React frames and lenses. This Program also does not cover apparel, accessories, mystery pairs, or complimentary products received through promotional activity. Items purchased from re-sellers or unauthorized retailers are not covered by the Program. This Program does not cover any damage or loss of any eyewear more than two years after purchase.*
Are There Limits to the Number of Replacements Under the Program?
Yes. You may only obtain two replacements of the same purchased item within the two years after purchase,* so long as supplies are available. Should your item's style be sold out or discontinued within the one-year window, Shady Rays will provide an alternative item of comparable or reasonably equivalent style.
*Two-year limitation on replacement for loss or damage relates to covered items purchased on or after January 1, 2023. For all items purchased prior to January 1, 2023, replacements are available, subject to the other terms and conditions above, until January 1, 2025.

What Does This Warranty Cover?
This limited lifetime warranty (“Warranty”) covers any defects in materials or craftsmanship of Shady Rays sunglasses, blue light glasses, snow goggles, React frame and lenses, prescription eyewear frames, all accessories, wearables, and snow goggle straps, and all snow goggle related items purchased from ShadyRays.com, Shady Rays official Amazon listings, or a Shady Rays authorized retailer or partner (“Covered Item(s)”).
What Does This Warranty Not Cover?
This Warranty does not cover lost or stolen sunglasses, nor does it cover prescription lenses. This Warranty also does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, or damage caused by anything other than defects in material or craftsmanship. Items purchased from re-sellers or unauthorized retailers are not covered by this Warranty. Also, consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this Warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
How Long Does the Coverage Last?
This Warranty lasts for as long as you own your Covered Item(s).
How Do You Submit a Warranty Claim?
In order to be eligible for replacement of your Covered Item(s) under this Warranty, you must submit a claim via the Warranty claim process on the Shady Rays website at protect.shadyrays.com. If you purchased your Covered Item(s) from a Shady Rays authorized retailer or partner, proof of purchase may be required to submit a claim. You may also be required to provide photographs of the claimed damage to your item.
What Will Shady Rays Do?
Shady Rays will evaluate your submitted Warranty claim. If Shady Rays determines that the damage to your Covered Item(s) is caused by a defect in materials or craftsmanship, Shady Rays will replace your item, at no cost to you, with the same style and color, provided supplies are available. If your item’s style is sold out or has been discontinued, you will be offered another item of similar or reasonably equivalent style as identified by Shady Rays.
No shipping and handling, or processing fees are required to submit or for Shady Rays to fulfill your Warranty claim.
How Does State Law Apply?
This Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Prescription Policies
One-year Prescription Broken Replacement Program
What Items Does the Program Cover?
Shady Rays Prescription Eyewear Broken Replacement Program covers damage to prescription eyewear (prescription sunglasses or eyeglasses) purchased from ShadyRays.com, valid for one year from date of purchase.
What Items Are Not Covered by the Program?
The Prescription Eyewear Replacement Program does not cover damage to or loss of non-prescription shades, sunglass readers, non-prescription blue light glasses, snow goggles, or React lenses and frames. This Prescription Eyewear Replacement Program also does not cover apparel, accessories, mystery pairs, or complimentary products received through promotional activity. Items purchased from websites or sellers other than ShadyRays.com are not covered by the Prescription Eyewear Replacement Program. Items damaged more than one year after purchase are not covered by this program. The Prescription Eyewear Replacement Program does not cover loss of prescription eyewear.

How Does the Replacement Program Work?
If your prescription eyewear becomes damaged for any reason at all, you may request a new pair by submitting a request via the Prescription Eyewear Replacement Program online process on the Shady Rays website at protect.shadyrays.com.
A valid, up-to-date prescription is required for your replacement prescription eyewear. Proof of purchase may be required to make a Replacement Request. You may also be required to provide photographs of the damage to your item.
If you are replacing only broken frames (i.e., there is no damage to your prescription lenses), you can either send in the lenses to be placed into the replacement frames by Shady Rays, or you may choose to have the replacement frames sent to you for your local optometrist to insert. If you choose to send your lenses to Shady Rays, do not send your lenses until you have completed the online Replacement Request and been provided a pre-paid return label from an Optical Team Member.
A processing fee is required for each Prescription Eyewear Replacement. These processing fees are subject to change at Shady Rays’ discretion. The current processing fees at the time you submit your item for replacement will apply regardless of the date you purchased your item. The processing fee that applies for each replacement is based on:
- Whether the Prescription Eyewear Replacement is for broken frames only.

One-year prescription eyewear scratch protection
What Items Does Scratch Protection Cover?
Shady Rays will provide one replacement for scratched lenses on prescription eyewear purchased from ShadyRays.com, without charge, within one year after purchase.
What Is Not Covered by Scratch Protection?
This Scratch Protection Program covers all prescription lenses for one year after purchase. Replacement requests for scratched prescription lenses after one replacement, or any other loss or damage to your prescription eyewear, are subject to the processing fees and terms and conditions of the One-Year Prescription Broken Replacement Program.
Scratch Protection does not cover damage to or loss of non-prescription shades, sunglass readers, non-prescription bluelight glasses, snow goggles, or React lenses and frames. This Program also does not cover apparel, accessories, mystery pairs, or complimentary products received through promotional activity. Items purchased from websites or sellers other than ShadyRays.com are not covered by Scratch Protection. Items lost or damaged more than one year after purchase are not covered by this program.

How Does the Scratch Protection Program Work?
If your prescription eyewear lenses become scratched, you may request a new pair by submitting a request via the Prescription Eyewear Replacement Program online process on the Shady Rays website at protect.shadyrays.com.
Proof of purchase may be required to make a Replacement Request. You may also be required to provide photographs of the damage to your item.
Before sending your lenses to Shady Rays, please make sure you have completed the online Replacement Request and have been provided a pre-paid return label from an Optical Team Member

Return and Exchange Policy
We offer completely free returns and exchanges on most items within 30 days of purchase. *To start a return or exchange, visit returns.shadyrays.com. We will provide a prepaid return label for you to send any unwanted item(s) back. Once you select the item(s) to be returned, you will have the option to Shop Now in-store for something new or get a refund. If you choose Shop Now, you will receive an instant credit for the full retail value of your returning item(s) to shop for something else on the website – no additional discounts can be applied through Shop Now. If you opt for a refund or store credit, it will be sent back to the original payment method or store credit via e-gift card when Shady Rays receives the return.
*Mystery pairs and items marked as Final Sale are not available for return or exchange. Prescription orders placed may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund or (1) remake if unsatisfied. Requests for prescription order returns should be sent to optical@shadyrays.com.
