Shady Rays needs a valid, up-to-date prescription which is fully visible to craft your lenses. This includes all information, such as the end date, exam date, and/or doctor's signature (when applicable.) Any orders with an expired prescription or are not fully visible will be cancelled within seven days without a new prescription.

Matte black wood-grain design frame built for a small fit. Complete with prescription lenses custom-made in our US-based optical lab. Includes signature hard case.

  • Estimated crafting times for Rx orders - 8-12 business days 
  • Prescription Eyewear Replacement Program: Prescription orders are eligible for (1) broken replacement within a year of date purchased. Just pay a processing fee of $49.89 for VIP members or $54.89 for non-VIP. Valid prescription required. See full policy below for new and previous prescription orders.
  • Returns & Exchanges: Prescription orders may be returned by contacting the optical team within 30 days of purchase for a refund or (1) remake if unsatisfied.  You may email our team using the form here.
  • Personal Care: A Shady Rays optical team member personally reviews every order to ensure that it will be made perfect for you. If anything needs addressing, we will reach out to you directly. We cannot fill any orders with an expired prescription so please make sure to check the expiration date before uploading your prescription.

BROKEN REPLACEMENTS INCLUDED

If you break your Shady Rays Prescription Eyewear within two years of purchase, we will send you a brand new pair – no matter what happened. Simply submit your replacement request and pay the applicable processing fee to claim your new pair (max 1 lens replacement and 2 frame replacements per item purchased within the first 24 months of purchase).

Limited Craftsmanship Warranty

Your prescription frame (lenses excluded) is covered under our Limited Craftsmanship Warranty within two years from purchase. If you experience an issue with manufacturing or craftsmanship, we will provide you with a new frame at no cost to you.

One-Year Scratch Protection

Shady Rays will provide one replacement for scratched lenses on certain prescription eyewear purchased from ShadyRays.com, without charge, within one-year after purchase.

"I recently ordered the Shady Rays RX glasses in the classic small black timber frame, and they honestly exceeded my expectations. The style, fit, and overall quality are excellent — the frames look even better in person, and I’m really happy with how they feel for everyday use. Shady Rays also included a complimentary hard case, which was a nice touch. It looked great, but unfortunately the zipper broke after only a few uses. Not a deal‑breaker, just something worth mentioning. Even with that minor issue, I’m still very happy I chose Shady Rays over getting frames from an eye doctor at double the price.
