This includes all information, such as the end date, exam date, and/or doctor's signature (when applicable.) Any orders with an expired prescription or are not fully visible will be cancelled within seven days without a new prescription.

- Prescription Eyewear Replacement Program: Prescription orders are eligible for (1) broken replacement within a year of date purchased. Just pay a processing fee of $49.89 for VIP members or $54.89 for non-VIP. Valid prescription required. See full policy below for new and previous prescription orders.
- Returns & Exchanges: Prescription orders may be returned by contacting the optical team within 30 days of purchase for a refund or (1) remake if unsatisfied. You may email our team using the form here.
- Personal Care: A Shady Rays optical team member personally reviews every order to ensure that it will be made perfect for you. If anything needs addressing, we will reach out to you directly. We cannot fill any orders with an expired prescription so please make sure to check the expiration date before uploading your prescription.

If you break your Shady Rays Prescription Eyewear within two years of purchase, we will send you a brand new pair – no matter what happened. Simply submit your replacement request and pay the applicable processing fee to claim your new pair (max 1 lens replacement and 2 frame replacements per item purchased within the first 24 months of purchase).
Limited Craftsmanship Warranty
Your prescription frame (lenses excluded) is covered under our Limited Craftsmanship Warranty within two years from purchase. If you experience an issue with manufacturing or craftsmanship, we will provide you with a new frame at no cost to you.
One-Year Scratch Protection
Shady Rays will provide one replacement for scratched lenses on certain prescription eyewear purchased from ShadyRays.com, without charge, within one-year after purchase.

"I ordered prescription sunglasses. This is my second pair since I lost my first pair. This time I got the classic timber frames with blue lenses. They are nice sturdy frames and the prescription is spot on to my regular glasses. I think these classic timber frames look nice too. My first pair was the black timber, and I’m not sure which one I like better."

"I’m going to preface this review by saying that I use to hate Shady Ray. I thought the name was stupid and I thought the glasses were cheap. That said, it is and they are but that’s part of why I decided to pull the trigger on a pair of their prescription glasses. I’ve toasted and lost dozens of pairs of $350+ RX RayBans - from Aviators to Wayfairs. Growing increasingly tired of losing money, I decided to give Shady Rays a shot - buying their Classic Small RX. I decided to go for Shady Rays over Blenders or the million other sunglasses in this price point for their philanthropy and their warranty. Granted I’ve only had them a week but I can tell you that the prescription is spot on and the clarity of the lens is awesome - as good as my $350 RX Polarized Ray Bans. I opted for the polarized “brown” lens on the Original Timber frame color and I love it. They fit great and look great. They also feel great; somewhere in between a $20 pair and a $200 pair, which is exactly what you’d expect for a pair of sunglasses that was $112 delivered in RX form. Overall, they’re awesome for what they are and I’ll be purchasing a second pair here this week in a different style. I can’t speak for the long term durability or the finish but, I’ll most likely lose them or damage them soon enough and we’ll get to see how their warranty works! I’m not sure I’d buy their standard, non RX, glasses UNLESS the warranty coverage and process proves to be as easy as they state. For me, the value is saving $200 over comparable RX sunglasses. Are they $350 RX RayBans? No? Are they worth what I paid? Absolutely. Do I hate the name and the fact they’re constantly in my FB Feed? Absolutely. Am I very satisfied with the product and service thus far? Absolutely. I’ll update if something changes but currently, this is one naysayer that’s been silenced for now Thanks Shady Ray for the seemingly quality product at a very fair and affordable price."
